My art has no time reflection. My aim is to produce
‘living art’ that is functional and becomes
part of the ambience of life. Living art surrounds
you all the time, everywhere.
My love for nature is reflected in my work. I bring
nature into a modern form by floating vibrant colors
with abstract ideas of life. My belief is that art
is everything that we produce without trying to copy
elements of nature. Any material, any feeling, any
weather, any dream is actually welcome to put influence
into the work.
I love watercolor – it is a very pure, elegant
way to express my feelings. My preference is an untraditional
treatment of watercolor on canvas which is inspired
by Michelangelo Buonarroti. I prefer vibrant colors
and abstract realism.
Austrian Hundertwasser’s art and philosophy
intrigues me. Like him, I paint similar to how a vegetable
grows – seed of an idea, to a sprout which begins
to flourish and grow and becomes something it wasn’t
to begin with.
I express myself by producing paintings, jewelry,
furniture and Suiseki (an ancient Japanese art form
of ‘placement’). Mediums vary from watercolors,
canvas, plaster, silver, clay, metal, tiles, fossils,
stone and wood. |
